Houston based singer-songwriter Kayla Ludy is currently recording her first solo album, which will be distributed worldwide by summer of 2020. She has played at many venues in Austin, TX, as one-third of the former indie garage-rock trio, Shiny Voyage, including an appearance at Ditch the Fest Fest.

As a solo artist, Kayla has performed at the Femme music festival in Amarillo, TX, and various venues in and around Austin. She has been featured on the podcast Chasing Sound (which you can download HERE on Itunes or check out Chasing Sounds website HERE to listen to the interview) and on the airwaves of Lucky Star radio, Grrrl Power Hour, Diversity Broadcasting Network, NGFY Radio, Radio KSCR and Shack Radio, to name a few.

Born and raised in the buckle of the Bible Belt known as the Texas Panhandle, young Kayla picked up an acoustic guitar and started writing songs as a way to transmute the terror and confusion of early life into something lucid. She is still conjuring up songs today and aims to share her raw and ethereal folk music with a wider audience- in the hopes of helping them heal some of their own pain- and to bring about peace through music. -Emily Vaughan
