Slowly but Surely

Kayla picked up an acoustic guitar and started writing songs as a way to transmute the terror
and confusion of early life into something lucid. She is still conjuring up songs today and aims to
share her raw and ethereal folk music with a wider audience- in the hopes of helping them heal
some of their own pain- and to bring about peace through music.” - Emily Vaughan

As a solo artist, Kayla has performed at the Femme music festival in Amarillo, TX,
and various venues in and around Austin and Houston, Texas. She has been featured on the podcast Chasing
Sound (which you can download HERE on Itunes or check out Chasing Sounds website HERE to listen to the interview) and on the airwaves of Lucky Star radio, Grrrl Power Hour, Diversity Broadcasting Network, NGFY Radio, Radio KSCR and Shack Radio, to name a few.
